Girls Aloud

In 2002 in a talent show a pop star group has created called Girls Aloud. Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh are the members of this girls band. With their debut album “Sound of the underground” this band become the first band ever to have the shortest span of time between its formation and topping the UK charts. They grabbed number one position in the UK top 10 singles consecutively for 20 times.

Girls Aloud band was formed in 2002 in a talent show “ Pop stars- the Rivals” in front of million of viewers. The presenter of the UK’s best reality show “Big Brother” designed the concept of this talent show. The main aim of this show is to find one boy band and one girls band as rivals to compete in 2002 Christmas number one single. Girls Aloud won that title also with their single called “ Sound of the underground”.

This girl band is listed in the Guinness book of world records as the “ Most successful reality TV group”. They also listed as the “ Most consecutive top 10 entries in UK by a female group. Their achievements have a never-ending list. Their genre of songs is pop, elctropop and dance. They worked for the labels called Polydor and Fascination.

Their subsequent career starts from 2002-present. In 2002-03 their first album released and after a short break in 2004 their second album “ What will the neighbors say” released and listed at number six in charts. After the success of their two albums they made their first live tour in May 2005. Critics had given very good reviews to their tour.

They had started working on their third album after their tour and released it in December 2005. Their third album called “ Chemistry”. The first single from this album “ Long Hot summer” was at the 7th position in charts. This breaks their consecutive top 5-position record. “Chemistry” was at the eleventh position in the album charts. This was their lowest position but still the album has gone Platinum.

Girl’s Aloud other musical albums are “Sounds of girl aloud”, “ Tangled Up” and “ out of control. All these albums also got an overwhelming response from music lovers and critics. They had also done some non-musical projects also. Like they had a cameo in a movie “St. Trinian’s” as a school band. They had also recorded soundtracks for the same movie. The band’s member Cheryl Cole has performed solo in April 2008 .She had given backing vocals for the song “Heartbreaker”. She appeared in the song’s video also.

In April 2008 the Girls Aloud official website announced that girls are planning to write their autobiography. The title was “Dreams that Glitter – Our story”. It was released in October 2008.

The band had a remarkable career in music and they are still active in entertaining the music lovers and their fans.
